Ricardo Bofill
Considered one of the main representatives of the postmodern movement, Bofill was active for almost 60 years, thanks to various works carried out internationally with the Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA), which he founded in 1963. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Cross of St. George, in 1973. In 1985 he was elected an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Metz, France (1995), and of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, from the French Ministry of Culture (1988). In 1991 the National Theatre of Catalonia began its construction following its design and in 2010 it projected the work of Terminal 1 of El Prat Airport (Barcelona). He recognizes that what he likes most is “inventing architectures, languages, vocabularies and, at the same time, being in the topics that look to the future.”

Toyo Ito
Considered one of the most innovative and influential architects in the world, Ito strives to achieve fluid architecture away from the limitations of modern architecture. In 2008 he won the Frederick Kiesler Architecture and Arts Prize and in 2013 he was awarded the Pritzker Prize, a prestigious distinction recognized as the most important in the world of architecture. Upon learning of the award of this award he said: “When a building is finished I painfully realize my own inadequacy, which becomes energy for the challenge of the next project. I will never fix my architectural style and I will never be totally satisfied with my work.”

Silvadec® is a French manufacturer of wood composites with a widely recognized technology. Its co-founders, Bénédicte Jézéquel and Philippe Crez, looked to the reference companies in North America to develop a particular formula of wood compounds with a majority of sawdust, and thus create Silvadec® wood compounds.
